Refugees :: Three

Three is daardoor rootsy, afwisselend en top.

When the pieces fit beautifully, the whole will become more than the sum of its parts. This is certainly true for THE REFUGEES, the exquisite all-female Americana trio and their second album, surprisingly entitled Three. The album title alludes to three wonderful female artists in their prime – all of whom have made a name for themselves as well-respected solo performers: Cindy Bullens, Deborah Holland and Wendy Waldman. Together THE REFUGEES have a first-class combination of profound songwriting skills, charismatic voices and brilliant musicianship at their disposal.
