Skydiggers :: Northern Shore

Canada’s best rootsband de Skydiggers is terug. En hoe. Hun Americana (of CanAmericana) heeft nimmer zo fris en origineel geklonken als op Northern Shore waarop ze ook niet schuwen samples in de strijd te gooien. Eigen nummers, liedjes van vrienden en een geweldige versie van Mickey Newbury’s Why You Been Gone So Long.
This was long overdue! Finally, the Skydiggers from Toronto, one of the best CanAmericana/roots rock bands of the last decades, has joined Blue Rose. And not once but twice. Set for release is a fine retrospective featuring the quintet’s strongest numbers, The Truth About Us – A Twenty Year Retrospective. And at the same time, Northern Shore, their first studio album with all-new tracks in four years will hit the stores and online shops. This double release makes a lot of sense because while Canadian music connoisseurs may place Skydiggers on a par with Cowboy Junkies and Blue Rodeo, they are virtually unknown in Europe.
