Under The Pepper Tree, de nieuwe van Sara Watkins, is een plaat bedoeld voor kinderen. In die zin dat er, naast een paar nieuwe eigen composities, nummers opstaan die belangrijk waren in haar kindertijd. De plaat opent met Pure Imagination uit Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory, een van haar favoriete films. Het is ook een kinderplaat omdat haar driejarige dochtertje meezingt op de evergreen Edelweiss. Maar Under The Pepper Tree is veel meer dan een kinderplaat. Op Blue Shadows On The Trail herenigt ze haar oude band Nickel Creek, ze doet nummers uit Disney-films, maar covert ook Harry Nilsson en The Beatles. En het is allemaal even geslaagd. Het maakt van Under The Pepper Tree dan ook vooral een plaat voor alle leeftijden. Muziek om heel blij van te worden.
