Liz Meyer :: Womanly Arts

by

“Liz Meyer (1952 – 2011) was an award-winning singer-songwriter who hails from Washington, D.C., where she fronted one of the area’s top bands from the early 70’s until she moved to Holland in the mid-80’s. Her band was a major factor in D.C.’s reputation as a hotbed of bluegrass and country music during those years. Small wonder the playing here excels. The musician list is a who’s who… The performances are just one step shy of heaven in quality, with Meyer’s low range vocals we’ll-rounded by Emmylou Harris’ harmonies…”
